What's New for 2022
Just a few years out from a significant redesign (the 1500 was known as the Ram 1500 DT until 2019), the Ram 1500 did not undergo any significant style changes for the 2022 model year. The largest changes came in the new trim levels and optional packages added to the model lineup. These packages allow drivers to customise the Ram 1500 to meet their exact wants and needs.

Performance
The 2022 Ram 1500 has five powertrain options to give drivers the performance and capability that they crave. The lower models receive a 3.6-litre V6 eTorque with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, while mid-level models feature a 5.7-litre HEMI V8, which delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
Also available are a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 and eTorque version of the HEMI V8. The pinnacle of the powertrains is found in the TRX--a 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI V8 with an astounding 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
When properly equipped, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 5,783kg and haul a payload up to 1,052kg.
