Main Upgrades from the Previous Year
The new Altitude LUX comes with 17-inch or 18-inch gloss black painted aluminium wheels, a gloss black grille, badging and accents. This lineup also comes with piano black interior accents, Nappa leather seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Trailhawk’s new features include a 7-inch multi-view TFT infotainment screen and high-beam headlamps.
SiriusXM radio, Uconnect 4C NAV, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen display are now standard for both models. Driver assistants such as adaptive cruise control and parallel and perpendicular park assists are also standard.
Interior Layout and Options
This lineup comes with leather-faced upholstery. The rear seats are foldable and come with a reading light along with ambient LED lighting. There are power windows with deep-tint privacy glass. The air conditioning system comes with air filters and integrated climate control commands on the touchscreen. Front seats are heated and come with several lumbar adjustments.
Exterior Layout and Options
There’s LED lighting in the automatic headlamps, daytime running lamps, taillamps, and fog lamps. The Altitude comes with a gloss black Cherokee badge, while the Trailhawk comes with an accent-colour badge. Skid plates and tow hooks are exclusive to the Trailhawk. Both models have a sunroof as an option along with heated exterior mirrors. The rear window has a defroster, wiper, and washer available.
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
The infotainment system is controlled via an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect 4C NAV. This includes hands-free communication, integrated climate controls, integrated voice command, wireless technology and GPS. Both models include a 6-speaker Alpine Premium Sound system.
There’s an additional 7-inch colour display that is fully customizable. Both models are also compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and come with two auxiliary 12v power outlets and one 115v power outlet each. There’s a three-month trial subscription for a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a one-year subscription to SiriusXM Guardian, and a five-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link.
Safety and Driver-Assistant Features
Jeep remains true to its tradition of manufacturing safe vehicles, using the best technology. Both models have eight airbags available, including knee-blockers for the front seats and reactive front head restraints. There’s also an anti-theft feature: The Sentry key immobilises the vehicle in case of theft.
The 2023 Cherokee comes with trailer sway control, brake stability control, and 4-wheel antilock disc brakes. There’s also a handful of driving assists, including electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, all-speed traction control, hill start assist, electronic park brake with SafeHold, and an enhanced accident response system.
